Each photograph is a fingerprint. A moment recorded with a camera is that same moment and no other. A second, or less than a second, makes the difference.
The documentary photography that I show in my projects is the reflection of a plan supported by the reality of the environment and the moment. There are no social filters, no post-retouching to expose real life. He is a photographer, cameraman and reality at the forefront. This is documentary photography.
It all started when university curiosity took me to the fascinating world of photography, and I wrote a document as my degree thesis: “Content analysis and composition of press photography.” This was the beginning of a profession as a photojournalist for the newspaper EL TIEMPO, (Bogotá Colombia).
Analog photography versus digital photography has a difference in format, but its essence endures. In a photograph there may be subsequent retouching (of all kinds), but at the moment of capture, in that second, a reality existed and that is when the photograph is one.
